Take the chance to visit the important archaeological site of Epidaurus and the piqturesque town of Nafplion

Depart the port of Poros and sail by local boat a short distance (3-4’) in order to reach Galatas which is situated just on the opposite side of the island, connecting Poros with mainland and Peloonnese. Continue on driving to Epidaurus . In Epidaurus walk through the beautiful groves to arrive at the famous Theatre, one of the best preserved monuments of antiquity in the world. The Theatre is outstanding in its perfection and acoustic and is able to house 14,000 people. Continue on and follow your guide to the local museum where you will view its unique exhibits. The museum contains collections of building inscriptions, hymns, various architectural parts of monuments etc. Next, drive to Nafplion, the first capital of the modern Greek state. Nafplion today is a charming small city by the sea with beautiful shops, cafes and neoclassical buildings. There you will have free time on your own in the town of Nafplion before returning back to Poros and the ship.
