Tour to Ano Syros & monasteries

At your arrival in the port of Syros our modern, air-conditioning coaches will be waiting to collect you and take you toAno Syros, the Medieval Town. After a short drive we will arrive on the foothill of Ano Syros.

We are transferred from the foothill to the upper hill of Ano Syros, with smaller bus, in order visitors to avoid climbing the 400 footsteps to reach St. George’s Cathedral, on the top of the hill. Visit the catholic cathedral of St. George, the monasteries of the Capuchins and of the Jesuits, the picturesque center “Piatsa” with little shops and the small museums of folkloristic art. Passing narrow streets with the typical cycladic steps, we will find our coach again to continue the tour to the Orthodox Monastery of St. Barbara. The 50 seated buses will transfer us to the Monastery of St. Barbara. We arrive in Monastery of St. Barbara and we make a short visit.

Departure from the Monastery of St. Barbara and optional stop to visit a traditional factory of “LOUKOUMI” nougat delights and afterwards return back to Ermoupolis.
