A saturday at the benaki museum (the one located on piraeus avenue, no. 138) in downtown athens can be extremely interesting and educating. 

The exhibitions vary and change periodically.

Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday: 10:00 - 18:00
Friday, Saturday: 10:00 - 22:00

Closed on Monday, Tuesday and the following holidays: March 25th, May 1st, August 15th, October 28th, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Epiphany, Easter Day, Easter Monday, Clean Monday, Holy Spirit Day.

Also closed in August.
