2010 in Europe (cruise market  in numbers) 

14.5 billion in € were spent by cruising companies, passengers and crew.

5.5 million Europeans booked a cruise, which is an increase of 10% comparing to 2009. 

5.2 million passengers embarked from European ports , an increase of 7.6% comparing to 2009.

25.2 million passengers visited 250 European ports in total, which is 6% more than they did in 2009.


2011 Cruise Ports of Greece (traffic and figures)

More than 1.000 cruise ships are estimated that will approach Piraeus port during 2011. ( 19% increase comparing to 2010)

567.085 passengers will visit Piraeus port during the first 5 months of 2011, comparing to 437.274 passengers during the first 5 months of 2010 ( 29.69 % increase).

460 cruise ships are scheduled to approach Katakolon port throughout the year, which are expected to carry 1 million passengers approximately.

700 cruise ships are scheduled to call Mykonos (30% increase comparing to 2010).
