Panoramic tour of Samos

Your tour will depart from the picturesque port of Pythagorion-ancient Samos. A pleasant drive will bring you to the Union of Winemaking Co-operatives of Samos. Situated in Vathi, this winery produces the most famous sweet wine which is used exclusively by the Catholic Church as communion wine. A visit to the winery will be made, during which you will be given information about the history for winemaking in Samos. You will also be given a sample of the wines to taste. If you particularly enjoy any wine, you will have the opportunity to buy from the factory in advantageous prices.

      Our next stop will be the Nightingales Valley. A clearing in a forest of plane trees with a small brook running through, its natural beauty is surreal. This makes a good place to stop and rest for a few moments under the shade of the huge plane trees and the song of nightingales. A brief stop will be made here to take photos.

     We continue our excursion driving to Kokkari village, one of the most beautiful and picturesque location on the island. Kokkari is also a famous resort. Built on a peninsula washed by the crystal clear waters of the legendary Aegean Sea, Kokkari provides a picture postcard image of a Mediterranean resort. Situated upon the water’s edge its narrow streets and alleys are filled with shops, taverns and bars. Free time will be given to explore this charming village resort.
