A tour to Urbino for combining beautiful countryside images along with  Renaissance art encounters. The time devoted is sure to compensate you.

You will leave Ancona aboard a coach for the hour-and-a-half journey to Urbino, where you will meet your guide that will take you by an elevator to the upper part of the city for the beginning of your guided tour. Lying on a hill located between the Foglia and Metauro rivers, Urbino stretches eastwards towards the Adriatic Sea and is without doubt one of Italy's best-preserved historic towns. The hilltop offers wonderful views over the surrounding mountains. You will visit the Ducal Palace in the impressive Piazza Rinascimento.Built by Federico da Montefeltro in 1455, it now houses the National Gallery of Marche, one of the most important collections of Renaissance paintings. At the end of the guided tour, you will have about 30 minutes of free time to stroll around (snack bar or cafeteria available), after that you will proceed walking back to the coach for the return.
