book this shore excursion and discover the most interesting sides of Chania city: the tomb of Venizelos, the arhcaeological museum and the charming city itself!

You will board your coaches for a drive to Akrotiri (peninsular) on the outskirts of Chania town. On the hill of Prophet Elias you will see the Tomb of Eleftherios Venizelos. From this vantage point you will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful view of the entire town of Chania.

Continuing your tour, you will visit the Monastery of Agia Triada, which is situated at the base of a densely planted hill of olive trees and vineyards. The façade of the church with its Doric columns reflects strong Venetian influences. Inside there are beautifully painted icons of the Virgin Mary, St. John the Baptist and the Prophet Elias.

Continuing your tour, you will visit the Archaeological museum of Chania housed in the katholikon of the Venetian monastery of St. Francis. The Museum contains finds from the Minoan time, finds from pre historic caves, Jewellery , and many other items which date back to the 14th & 15th century B.C.

You will then be guided through the town of Chania visiting wonderful sites, once the tour is over you are then free to explore the old town of Chania.

Return to Chania (Souda Port) is about 14.30 in the afternoon.
