Leave landing pier by de-luxe motor coaches, with the assistance of skilled guides (one for each motor coach) for a short sightseeing of Messina driving through Piazza Duomo (The Cathedral with its astronomic clock) -Via Cavour- Viale Boccetta.
Proceed to Taormina (distance of abt 50 kms) driving along the highway, which follows the Ioanian Coast.-
Arrive at Taormina parking lot and walk towards Taormina main street to start your walking tour.- The town is perched on a terrace overlooking the sea and has a delightful medieval character, with lots of interesting shops.- Visit from outside Palazzo Corvaia, a 15th Century building, adorned with the classic double windows.- Afterwards visit the impressive Theatre built by Greek in the 3rd Century BC.- It is fantastic for its wideness and the particular acoustic effects; still now it is used in Summer for open performances.-
You will have time for stroll along the "Corso Umberto".- Just off this pedestrian street there many small lanes and "Viuzze", where you will be able to shop for local handcrafts.-
Aferwards leave Taormina and drive back to Messina
